Jae Won is the Head of Asia Pacific and Japan for Nokia, where he oversees all of Nokia’s Networks business and operations in the region spanning the diverse territories of Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Oceania, and a number of fast growing South East Asian countries. A veteran of more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry, Jae has a deep understanding of the unique needs of the Asia Pacific and Japan market where he is focused on helping customers harness technology to accelerate their digital transformation journeys. Prior to this role, Jae held several senior leadership positions within Nokia as the Head of Mobile Broadband Sales and Sales Development for Nokia Asia Pacific and Japan, leading sales development activities across the region. Jae also has hands-on experience leading Nokia in Japan and Korea, increasing the company’s depth and reach in two of the world’s most advanced mobile broadband markets. Jae began his career with engineering, sales and marketing roles at Nortel Networks in Australia and Korea. He also has two years of experience in the private equity industry where he was part of the start-up team which eventually become SkyLake Incuvest, one of the largest private equity companies in Korea. Born in Korea, educated in Australia and currently based in Singapore, Jae holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
