Martin Schryburt leads the global R&D team that builds Nokia’s Network Services Platform (NSP) Network Management & Carrier SDN product. The product portfolio under Martin’s responsibilities include NSP as well as 5620 Service Aware Manager (SAM). Consisting of talented software & test engineers, the R&D team spans three continents and the products are deployed in over 1300 networks around the globe.
Martin joined Nokia through the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent, and prior to that, the acquisition of Newbridge Networks. During his 24-year career in the Telecommunications industry, Martin has held progressively senior roles within R&D, Product Management, Test, Support as well as Program and Project Management. Martin has been actively involved in working across networking technologies in IP, Optical, Mobile as well as Wireless Radio Access. Martin also ran structured and successful formal partnership programs with OSS vendors to complement the company’s product portfolio.
Martin enjoys building strong, high-performing teams that can innovate with new technologies yet can turn ideas into high-quality, reliable, scalable and carrier-grade products.
Martin holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
Outside of work, Martin enjoys skiing, golfing, canoeing and hiking. He is married with three almost-adult children.
